Friends of High Point Pittsburgh

To help move the vision from imagination to reality, Friends of High Point Pittsburgh is being organized as an entity independent from Carnegie Mellon University according to the following principles:

Friends of High Point Pittsburgh is an organization whose purpose is to nurture, promote, and advocate for the development of a publicly accessible facility on the one-acre rooftop of the U.S. Steel Tower (600 Grant Street) in downtown Pittsburgh that will offer a 360-degree panorama of southwest Pennsylvania.

Friends of High Point Pittsburgh envisions that High Point Pittsburgh will be a visitor center and downtown first-day attraction; a multi-function cultural venue; an entertainment & education complex; a model of sustainable design and technology; and a focus of civic pride.

  • Financial responsibility
  • Public accessibility
  • Green design and sustainable energy management
  • Showcase Pittsburgh-area history, accomplishments, and assets, including its part in industrial and technological revolutions

We are now soliciting individuals and organizations who want to get actively involved with the project and participate in our regular meetings. If you recognize what this amazing, rooftop facility might mean for Pittsburgh and would like to help make it a reality, please complete the form below. You can also help with your financial support.

Yes, I want to become a Friend of High Point Pittsburgh!
